surroundings

Lying in the south-eastern part of the Ionian Sea, the Island of Kefalonia will charm the tourist by its extraordinary beauty and variety of landscapes.
You can find either a mountainous part with eght peaks between 1.000 and 1.600 meters either a crystalline sea unique for its colours and transparency.

Ideal and convenient place to base yourself whilst in Kefalonia.
The Veliero Tourist resort is set in the the northern part of Kefalonia, in the
quiet hamlet of Tzamarelata, which is only 5 km from Fiscardo drive from Fiscardo and within walking distance for shops and restaurants.
The spectacular sea views are of Assos and the Kakata peninsula - this part of the island is also renowned for it's magnificent sunset.

Sandy or pebbly beaches and wild cliffs followed one another along a jogged and suggestive coastline with forest of cypresses and olive trees stretchin down to the sea.
An intense e polychrome brightness joined with the penetrating fragrances of the mediterranean maquis will accompany each step in the island, until the sun, blending with the sea, will stop your time in the contemplation of delightful sunset.

Dafnuodi beach
Dafnoudi is a beautiful secluded beach at the bottom of a steep natural valley. Shade is limited when the sun is high so remember to take a beach umbrella. There is even a small and very cool cave at the waters edge that one can sit in when it's too warm.

Fiscardo

The picturesque and beautiful Greek harbour village on the Northern tip of Kefalonia, largest of the seven Ionian islands. Of the approximate 365 villages on this large and diverse island, Fiscardo is unique in that it was left virtually undamaged during the great earthquake of 1953, that ruined most of the islands historic buildings.
